Who Are These People Anyway?

U-Otter-Read-It  has been developing teaching resources and workshops for teachers and parents since 1996.   Resources focus on literacy strategies, with many suggestions offered to connect many disciplines of the curriculum.  The company is also proud to promote and celebrate Canadian children's authors and illustrators.  Bringing these works into classrooms, and using them as the foundation for teaching and supporting literacy skill development is both exciting and rewarding for all concerned.

U-Otter-Read-It is committed to

  • Creating teacher resources based on sound, pedagogical foundations

  • Developing practical, hands-on materials for classroom teachers

  • Promoting and celebrating Canadian children's literature

  • Providing professional development workshops for Teachers and Parents

  • Helping teachers help students strengthen literacy skills

  • Building a community of readers

Workshop leader,  Helen Raczuk has been offering teacher workshops since 1978. She continues to offer seminars in  areas such as early literacy, children's literature, writing, readers theatre, music education, and early childhood. She is happy to design a workshop day specific to the needs of your Professional development focus to facilitate the best possible experience for all who participate in her sessions.
